MEet Lemon Puff
During the 2026 FIRST season, REBUILT, Lemon Puff successfully completed all of its season competitions and advanced to the Einstein Field. Featuring a dumper design, belted indexer, juicer, and ground intake, Lemon Puff was built to store and handle a large amount of fuel.

Lemon Puff FEATURES AND DESIGN
Drivetrain - 25x29” MK5N Swerve Drive with x40 steer motors. Frame dropped 1/4” for low CG. Bottom mounted electronics for easy access
Intake - over the bumper single roller intake with 2 motors. Flip down design to assist in compacting balls when shooter. 2x1 metal crash bar
Indexer - Belted indexer with tensioning system and 2 motors. Flips up for access to battery underneath
Shooter - 4.5 fuel wide shooter with adjustable hood and poly ramp
Hopper + Bumper - Bumpers have passive hopper walls for higher ball capacity. Slide out hopper is pushed out by intake and doesn’t retract. Stretchy net covers the top to expand and shrink without getting caught
Juicer - Vertical hopper extension for additional fuel capacity while ability to drive under the trench is maintained
Auto Aim- 4 cameras sense the April-tags to aim at target. Camera streams processed by MacMini
District Event Winner - District San Francisco Event
From March 13th to 15th, Team 5940 competed in our first competition of the season, San Francisco District Event. We ranked second in qualifications with a 17-0-0 record and competed in playoffs as the first pick of Alliance 1, along with Team 1323 Madtown Robotics and Team 253 Boba bots. Our alliance soared through playoffs undefeated, securing our first district victory.
District event winner & Industrial Design Award - District Sacramento Event
From March 20st to 22nd, Team 5940 competed at the District Sacramento Event, our second district event of the 2026 season. After our qualification matches record of 14-3-0 and ranking fourth, with our ailiance Captain 1678 Citrus Circuits and Team 2204 Rambots. Together we made our way through playoffs, becoming district event winners! We were honored to win the Industrial Design Award!
California Northern State Championship
From April 9th to 12th, Team 5940 competed in the California Northern State Championship. With the record of 8-4-0, we ranked 14th and became the first pick of Alliance 3, with Captain of Alliance 6036 Peninsula Robotics and 3501 Firebots. With many of the top teams in Northern California competing, we gave it our all and had a great time, finishing our run in Match 12.
HOUSTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, Archimedes Division
From April 29th to May 2nd, Team 5940 competed in the Archimedes Division at FIRST Championship in Houston, Texas. More than 600 teams traveled from all around the world to compete in eight divisions of roughly 75 teams each. We gave it our all, finishing with a 15–2–0 record, ranking first overall, and earning the honor of becoming the captain of Alliance 1. Alongside 9470 Ctrl-Alt-Defeat, 3006 Red Rock Robotics, and 7407 Wired Boars, we became Championship Division Winners and advanced to the Einstein Field for our second time ever. With a record of 1–2–0, we are proud of what we accomplished, had an amazing time, and wrapped up our journey here!
