MEet Taiyaki
BREAD’s 10th robot, Taiyaki, competed in the 2025 Reefscape game. This ocean-themed game brought to us algae and coral, scored in the net/processor and on the reef, respectively. The green, playground ball “algae” were thrown into the net spaced six feet off the ground. The white PVC “coral” were scored on pegs of varying heights, from Level 1 to Level 4. The first 15 seconds are entirely autonomous, meaning the robot drives without a human driver. Then, drivers race to score game pieces, occasonainally sending over a robot to the other alliance’s side to play defense. At the end of the match, “shallow” and “deep” cages, hung from the barge at the center of the field, can be climbed for additional points.
This was our robot reveal for our robot Taiyaki
